For over three decades, I have had the privilege of working with young people, older adults, and vulnerable people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
My journey has allowed me to work within the Education system, the NHS, and later in care homes, where compassion, understanding, and supporting others became the foundation of my life,s work.
Alongside my profession, I have also faced many personal challenges. For the past forty years I have lived with various medical conditions, and eventually I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Receiving that diagnosis became a turning point in my life. I realised that my health needed to become my priority and that immediate changes had to happen.
The journey was not easy. There were struggles, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty, but through determination, commitment, healthier lifestyle choices, regular exercise, and a complete change in the way I approached food and wellbeing, I was able to reverse my Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis.
Throughout this journey, I began journaling my experiences, challenges, and achievements. What started as a personal reflection soon became something much bigger. Today I have written three books based on my journey, focusing on health, wellbeing,healthy eating, lifestyle changes, regular exercise, and a recipe book designed to inspire others to take positive steps toward better health and wellbeing.
Creating this website is a continuation of that journey. It is a space where I hope to encourage, support, and inspire others through my experiences, knowledge, and passion for helping people live healthier and more fulfilling lives.
